This is my view, from my foxhole.  "Everybody has their own war"…  Take what you need; leaving the rest.  And, most importantly, I reserve the right to change and evolve my opinions over time…  That's what good conversations do — and blogs, are inherently, conversations.

So, you're ready to make a dent in the universe, eh?  You have great ideas to share with the world and blogging's how you’re going to get it done.  Good for you.

Of course, there's more to starting a blog than simply having great ideas.  However, you've already made an important decision…  You're going with WordPress.

After all, Internet big-wigs — Chris Brogan, Brian Clark, Marie Forleo, Michael Hyatt, Jon Morrow, Amy Porterfield, Darren Rowse, Mari Smith, Gary Vaynerchuk, etc. — all use WordPress.

Do you ever feel like your blog's stuck in quicksand?  You're writing a lot of posts.  You're promoting them.  You're responding to each and every commenter as if they were your bestest of friends.

But, it's not working though.  The more that you work, the harder that you struggle — the deeper that you sink.  Why?  Well, it may be a little hard to swallow, but you could simply suck at writing.

That's not the only reason why people fail.  Some people are just lazy, thinking that it's going to happen, without doing any work.  Other people, never learn how to promote their posts.  Others still, are totally anonymous — needing to improve their connections, before they can succeed.

    Him the Almighty Power
Hurld headlong flaming from th' Ethereal Skie
With hideous ruine and combustion down
To bottomless perdition, there to dwell
In Adamantine Chains and penal Fire…
As one great Furnace flam'd, yet from those flames
No light, but rather darkness visible
Serv'd onely to discover sights of woe,
Regions of sorrow, doleful shades, where peace
And rest can never dwell, hope never comes…

I was talking to one of my recently new friends and she'd expressed a discomfort in approaching me during an event.  She wanted to respect my space, but didn't know a comfortable way in which to approach me with respect to my PTSD symptoms within a group setting.  It made me start to think about the intense air that I must emote for her to question when and how to approach me.  I like talking to people — that is, except for the ignorant and/or stupid, as I have a zero-tolerance for ignorance and stupidity — it's where I get some of my greatest inspirations.  However, at times, my condition may not permit me to interact on a desired level and/or in an expected way.

It was a late Friday night, when I'd finished a long round-up of WordPress themes, and had completely forgotten that my fridge was empty.  I collapsed onto the sofa, launched Snapchat, and suddenly my mouth started watering…  My neighbour had posted a picture of himself — eating a huge, yummy burger.  The ridiculous tradition to take pics of food, and boast of them publicly, appears to have migrated from Instagram to Snapchat.
